This document is a template prepared for FXPIPS ONLINE and should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before relying on it.
This Privacy Policy explains how FXPIPS ONLINE ("we", "us", "our") handles personal data when you use https://fxpips.online (the "Site"). The Site is operated from India. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible.
Summary
- Accounts are optional. Every calculator, lesson and free download works without one.
- We collect personal data only when you create an account, request access, pay for a plan, subscribe to our newsletter or send us a message.
- Tools such as the trading journal and simulator store your entries only in your own browser and never send them to our servers.
- Analytics are off by default. If enabled, we use self-hosted, cookieless Matomo.
- Advertising is disabled by default. We do not sell personal data.
Data we collect
Account
If you create an account, we store your name, email address, a hashed password (we never store or see your actual password) or, if you sign in with Google, your Google account identifier, profile name and picture. You can optionally add a Telegram username and choose whether to receive emails about new tools. While you are signed in we keep a session record with the time, your IP address and your browser's user-agent, so that you can see and sign out of your devices and so that we can detect abuse. We also keep the pages you save, the list of library files you download while signed in, and the access you hold.
Sign-in uses strictly necessary cookies (see our Cookie Policy). To limit brute-force attacks we temporarily record the number of sign-in attempts from an IP address.
Access requests, plans and payments
If you send an access request, we store your name, email, optional Telegram username, what you asked for and your message, plus our reply and decision. If you buy a plan, we record the plan, the amount, the date, the payment method and a payment reference (for example a UPI transaction ID). We do not store card or bank details: you pay through your own bank, UPI app or payment provider.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we collect your email address, the fact that you gave explicit consent, and the date and time of your subscription and confirmation. We use double opt-in: we send a confirmation email, and you are subscribed only after you click the confirmation link. Every newsletter contains a one-click unsubscribe link.
Contact form
If you contact us, we collect the information you choose to provide, typically your name, email address and message. We use it only to respond to you and to keep a record of our correspondence.
Technical data
Like any website, our hosting infrastructure may process technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse.
Optional analytics
Analytics are disabled by default. If the operator enables them, we use a self-hosted Matomo instance configured to work without cookies. It records aggregated usage information (for example, pages viewed and referring sites) to help us improve the Site. This data is not shared with advertising networks.
Data stored only in your browser
The following features save information in your browser's localStorage on your own device:
- Trading journal entries
- Trading simulator positions and history
- Learning progress
- Theme preference (light or dark)
This information is never transmitted to our servers. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for fxpips.online. If you clear it, we cannot recover it for you.
Where your data is stored
Account, access, payment, newsletter and contact data are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase, which acts as our service provider. Our service providers may process data on servers located outside India. We take reasonable steps to ensure that providers apply appropriate security safeguards.
How we use your data
We use personal data only to:
- create and secure your account, and show you your saved items, downloads and access;
- review access requests and provide the access or services you request or pay for;
- keep records of payments, as required for accounting and tax;
- send account emails (verification, password reset, security notices) and, only if you opted in, emails about new tools;
- send the newsletter you asked for, and manage your subscription;
- reply to messages you send us;
- operate, secure and improve the Site.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that affect you.
Legal basis and applicable law
We process newsletter data on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing. We process account, access-request and payment data to provide the services you ask for and to meet our legal obligations, and contact form data to respond to your request. We aim to handle personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as they apply to us.
Retention
- Newsletter: we keep your email address while you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe, we stop sending emails and delete or anonymise your data, except where we need a minimal record to honour your opt-out.
- Unconfirmed sign-ups: if you never confirm your subscription, we delete the pending record.
- Accounts: we keep your account until you delete it. You can delete it at any time from Account → Settings; this removes your profile, sessions, saved items, download history and access. A session stops working after 30 days without use, or when you sign out.
- Access requests: we keep them while your account exists, or for as long as needed to handle a guest request.
- Payments: we keep payment records for as long as Indian accounting and tax law requires, even after an account is deleted where the law requires it.
- Contact messages: we keep them only as long as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain records, then delete them.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:
- confirm what personal data we hold about you;
- correct or update it (you can edit your profile yourself under Account → Settings);
- delete it (you can delete your account yourself under Account → Settings);
- withdraw consent (for example, by unsubscribing).
To make a request, email fxpips.online@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to our database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-party links
The Site links to external websites, such as central banks and regulators. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies.
Children
The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "updated" date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
